The Sanlam Cape Town Marathon has officially joined the prestigious Abbott World Marathon Majors, becoming the first Major on the African continent. As Africa’s only AIMS Gold Label marathon, it has firmly established itself as one of the world’s premier marathon destinations.

The course is fast and scenic, starting and finishing at Cape Town Stadium. Runners pass iconic landmarks such as Bo-Kaap, District Six, Woodstock and the Southern Suburbs, before heading along the Sea Point Promenade with stunning ocean views — all against a breathtaking Table Mountain backdrop.

I Run the Globe is an official International Tour Operator of the Sanlam Cape Town Marathon. Our allocation of guaranteed entries is exclusive to runners acquiring our travel packages, on a first come first serve basis. We are not permitted to sell entries only.
